Privacy Policy for Azulo
Effective date: 19 June 2026
Last updated: 7 October 2026
Azulo ("the app") is a single-player tile-restoration puzzle game published by Electric Alpaca, a trading name of LIO SOFTWARE LTD ("we", "us"). LIO SOFTWARE LTD is the data controller for the information described below. This policy also covers Azulo Daily, our puzzle app for ChatGPT and other AI chat apps (see Azulo Daily in ChatGPT and other chat apps).
This policy explains what information the app handles and why. We have tried to keep Azulo's data footprint as small as possible.
We do not require an account, and we do not collect your name, email address, phone number, precise location, contacts, photos, or device advertising identifier. Azulo contains no third-party advertising.
Information we handle
Anonymous gameplay analytics
To understand how the game is played and where players get stuck, Azulo records anonymous gameplay events (for example: a level was started, completed, or left; number of mistakes; whether the hint was used). These events are tagged with a random identifier that is generated on your device the first time you play and stored locally. This identifier is not linked to your real-world identity and we cannot use it to contact you. Analytics are processed by PostHog on servers in the European Union (eu.i.posthog.com).
Purchases
Azulo offers a one-time in-app purchase to unlock the full game. Purchases are processed entirely by Google Play (Android) or the Apple App Store (iOS). We receive only confirmation of whether the unlock was purchased — we never see or store your payment card, billing address, or other payment details.
Local game data
Your level progress, the unlock status, and game settings are stored only on your device. This data is not transmitted to us and is removed if you uninstall the app or clear its data.
How we use this information
- To measure overall engagement and improve level design and difficulty.
- To grant access to content you have purchased.
- To diagnose problems and improve the app.
We do not sell your information, and we do not use it for advertising or profiling.
Third-party services
| Service | Purpose | Privacy policy |
|---|---|---|
| PostHog (EU) | Anonymous product analytics | posthog.com/privacy |
| Google Play Billing | Process Android purchases | policies.google.com/privacy |
| Apple App Store / StoreKit | Process iOS purchases | apple.com/legal/privacy |
These providers process data under their own privacy policies. Google and Apple may collect additional information as part of operating their stores and payment systems; please refer to their policies.
Data retention
Anonymous analytics events are retained by our analytics provider for as long as needed to understand product trends, after which they are deleted or aggregated.
Local game data remains on your device until you delete it.
Azulo Daily in ChatGPT and other chat apps
Azulo Daily is also available as an app inside AI chat services such as ChatGPT (OpenAI) and Claude (Anthropic). When you ask for the daily puzzle, the chat service calls our server at daily-mcp.azulogame.com and shows the puzzle in the conversation. This section explains what that app receives and keeps. It needs no account and no sign-in, and it collects no personal data.
What our server receives
Each request asks for one thing: today's puzzle. The only detail it may include is your local date (for example 2026-10-07), so you get the right day's puzzle in your time zone. We do not ask for your name, email address, location or chat history, and the app never sees your conversation. ChatGPT may attach general hints to a request, such as your language or an approximate location; our server does not use or store them. Requests normally come from the chat service's servers rather than from your device.
The server sends back only public puzzle content: the puzzle number, title, story and mural picture, and a link to azulogame.com. It uses no cookies and keeps no database or user records of its own.
Server logs
Our server runs on Cloudflare Workers. Cloudflare keeps short-lived technical logs of each request (such as the time, the address requested, the response, and network details such as the approximate country and the sending server's IP address) so we can spot errors. These logs are deleted automatically after at most 7 days, and we use them only to keep the app working.
Your puzzle progress
Your progress (which tiles are placed, your moves and your time) is saved in the chat itself, not on our servers. In ChatGPT it is kept in the app's state for that message (ChatGPT's "widget state"), so you can leave and come back to the same puzzle in that conversation. The app may also keep a copy, with your sound setting and solve stats, in the browser storage of the app's own sandboxed frame. This progress contains no personal data, just the state of the puzzle.
So that the assistant can respond naturally (for example, to congratulate you when you finish), the app shares one short progress line with it, such as "Azulo Daily No. 2: 12 of 45 tiles on the wall, 30 moves so far." It never reveals where tiles go. In ChatGPT this line is part of the widget state; in Claude and other chat apps it is sent as context for the conversation.
Pictures, sounds and fonts
While you play, the app loads the mural pictures, sounds and background from azulogame.com (hosted by Cloudflare) and the Noto Serif font from Google Fonts. As with any web page, these providers receive your device's IP address and browser details when the files are fetched. Nothing else is sent: the app has no analytics, no advertising and no tracking.
The chat services
Your conversations, including the puzzle's widget state and the progress line, are processed and stored by the chat service you use, under its own privacy policy. We do not receive your conversations.
| Service | Purpose | Privacy policy |
|---|---|---|
| OpenAI (ChatGPT) | Hosts the app and your conversation, including saved progress | openai.com/policies/privacy-policy |
| Anthropic (Claude) | Hosts the app and your conversation | anthropic.com/legal/privacy |
| Cloudflare | Runs our server and azulogame.com; short-lived request logs | cloudflare.com/privacypolicy |
| Google Fonts | Serves the font the app uses | developers.google.com/fonts/faq/privacy |
Retention and your choices
- Server logs: deleted automatically within 7 days.
- Puzzle progress in the chat: kept with that conversation for as long as the chat service keeps it, and removed when the chat service deletes the conversation under its own policy.
- Progress in browser storage: stays until you clear the site data for the chat service or your browser.
- You can stop using the app at any time by disconnecting or turning it off in your chat service's settings. After that, it receives nothing.
We do not sell any information from the app or use it for advertising or profiling. Because the app holds nothing that identifies you, we usually cannot find records relating to you; for your conversations, use the chat service's own privacy controls. Questions about the app: steve@planmylife.app.
Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example, under the EU/UK GDPR or the California CCPA/CPRA), you may have the right to access, correct, or delete information relating to you, or to object to its processing.
Because Azulo's analytics are anonymous and not tied to your identity, we generally cannot single out your individual records. If you would like analytics collection associated with your device to stop, you can uninstall the app, which ends all event collection. To make a privacy request or ask a question, contact us at the address below.
Children's privacy
Azulo is intended for a general audience and is not directed at children under the age required for consent in your country. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information, please contact us and we will address it.
Security
We use reputable service providers and reasonable technical measures to protect the limited data we handle. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, within the app or store listing.
